Surf Girl Canvas Challenge 13

Hi there crafty friends and followers...Its that time again!!!!

For my DT project I chose to create a Canvas using stencils and Chipboard ...

Hope you like it!!

Above I was using Modelling paste and a Bubble Stencil for my background

I chose a Surfer Girl in chipboard and I cut out a palm tree in cardboard

Painted the Palm tree and added Modelling paste to build up the sandy beach

Wasn't happy with the palm so went over it with modelling paste to build up ridges on the trunk and texture on the leaves
I used a stencil for the wave white caps 

Adding large flat Shells to form rocky out crops and using tiny shells to emphasise that they are on rocks ...

An anchor sticking out of the sand... A crab and a boat! Glitter at the wave crests to define the waves
I used a product called Snow I purchased off Ebay to Create the White Clouds!

The End Result !! And sealed with varnish!

My first 3 Step Birthday Card

Using custom measurements/Prima Garden Fable 6x6 Paper and layering parts of the buildings

introducing flowers in the middle step and a bench

creating a fence for the foreground and cutting more flowers/leaves to intertwine amongst the pickets

As a DT Designer For this Blog

I have chosen to use Cute As A Buttons image New Hope available from https://www.etsy.com/shop/CuteAsAButtonDigis 

Using colours based from http://design-seeds.com/home/entry/color-leaves1

I have created a Canvas with a mix of blended Alcohol Ink pen work, Pastel Pencils, Acrylic Glaze silks and acrylic paint...Home made flowers and leaves from my personal hot glue stash. I finished this piece off with some glitter and some mixed chipboard embellishments.

Molossi Mood Board

                                                   Here is my finished Canvas Creation 

                                             for the Molossi May MoodBoard Challenge 

I found The Molossi Moodboard very inspiring - This is My first ever Challenge and I really enjoyed every moment!
I have tried to incorporate all the colours and recreated (No 3)my main feature as a door on my canvas which is open to let out the 'Dreams' The Tropical scene represents my recent 6yrs in QLD 'A dream I have lived' And Photos of my children rising out of the open door as they begin to dream for themselves.... The Suns rays beaming out from behind the island reflect the light in (No 5)and also the shapes in (No4) butterflies fly out of the open chest (No2) The wording I have used is self explanatory and again a use of light in the form of a beam across the sky from the Street light is used.. 

 Using gesso with my stencils to form my background texture

    

   

 

  

Thanks to my good friend Rhonda Alman  I now have an awesome range of Shimmer mists which I have used over my stencilled flourishes to create my door 

Sponge painted the sun rays to create streaks of light and used a range of metallic paints glitter and assorted embellishments from my stash (And Rhondas again !!)
